John M. Campbell & Co. recently recognized four instructors for their outstanding service in 2008.
Bill Dokianos received the Globetrotter award. This award goes to the individual that travels the most miles as an instructor for the company. Mr. Dokianos traveled 207,822 Miles in 2008, which translates into eight times around the world.
The Front Line award was given to recognize the instructor that taught the most face-to-face courses and had the most days in a classroom. David Hairston received this honor with 20 sessions taught and over 200 days of instructing.
And the Instructor of the Year award went to Steve Pehnec. This award was determined by average evaluation score, weeks taught and number of participants taught. Mr. Pehnec scored in the top three in all of the categories.
Dr. Mahmood Moshfeghian received the President’s Award, which recognized his willingness to take on work; timeliness in meeting deadlines; aggressively promoting new ideas; positively advancing the reputation of Campbell and high level of team work.

Congratulations to all of our instructors for an outstanding 2008.

In other Campbell instructor news, Dr. Mahmood Moshfeghian’s article “Direct Prediction of Cricondentherm and Cricondenbar Coordinates of Natural Gas Mixtures using Cubic Equation of State” has been published in the “International Journal of Thermophysics” VOLUME 29, Issue 6 (2008), page 1954.

Also, Dr. Moshfeghian and Alan Foster participated in the SPE Gas Hydrate Challenges in the Oil and Gas Industry in Doha, Qatar on 18-21 January, 2009. Dr. Moshfeghian presented a paper on “Hydrates as a Method of Transporting Natural Gas from Stranded Fields.”

D. John Morgan is part of the SPE Distinguished Lecturer’s Series in 2009. He will be speaking on the topic of “Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) – Roaring Ahead – Where Will it End?”
